Yarm Lake

Single swim to North bank or Double swim for 1 or 2 anglers fishing from a large comfortable double swimming in the centre of the lake, 

 

Previously a coarse fishing lake, we transformed Yarm into a members only Specimen Carp Lake in line with the rest of Tees Valley Lakes and opened on April 2023, All coarse fish  were removed & new selection specimen carp added in January 2023, More quality stock were added in December 2023 with a further stocking due in February 2024.

Set in a small peaceful valley surrounded by mature farmland protected from heavy winds ensuring there is always somewhere comfortable to fish. Approximately 1 acre in size with 3 angling swims fishing from the East bank only and a variety of features including a bar & plateau, reed fringe edging and Depths running between 3ft to 6ft,
A Lakeside car park is available for easy access and a fully enclosed electric otter fence protect the lake from predation ensuring our stock are safe at all times.

Stockings of good quality fish have been introduced including English carp of pure bloodline strains of Sutton, Leney, Dinkesbuehl and Harrow Mirror and Common Carp.

Bio Security
Landing nets, Unhooking mats and weigh slings are provided on our venues to help protect from spread of disease from outside source, Please DO NOT bring your own as our equipment is to be used only.
No Lake Viewing
Our venues are not open access so turning up to view is not possible. A No viewing policy is in place with a view of security to our venues and with the anglers best interests in mind.

History

Yarm Coarse Lake underwent a total renovation in 2011 after a decade of neglect, The existing stock were saved during the renovation and since further additional yearly stockings of good quality fish were regularly introduced.

The lake closed as a coarse lake in December 2022 and work began in January 2023 renovating the lake, removing all coarse fish & stocking with specimen carp with a planned opening in 2023 as a members only specimen lake inline with all other lakes at Tees Valley Lakes.
